Is WhatsApp Coexistence available in Turkey?
Yes. The page Meta maintains for onboarding WhatsApp Business app users to Cloud API sets requirements on the app version (2.24.17 or newer) and on the partner (a Tech Provider or Solution Partner using Embedded Signup with session logging), and contains no country or calling code exclusion. A +90 number active in the WhatsApp Business app is eligible.
A Turkish number is refused only for the reasons any number is: it is on the consumer WhatsApp app, the app needs updating, or another provider still holds the number. Each of those is fixable on the phone or with the previous provider, and the eligibility page explains how.
What does Meta charge per message in Turkey?
Meta charges per delivered template at the rate of the recipient's country calling code, so every template reaching a +90 number is priced at Turkey's rate wherever the sender is. Turkey has its own line on the rate card.
On Meta's USD card effective October 1, 2026 the figures are among the lowest on the card: US$ 0.0109 for marketing and US$ 0.0009 for utility and authentication. The EUR card lists €0.009 and €0.0007. Meta lists no authentication-international rate for Turkey. Free-form replies inside an open 24 hour customer service window are free, as is a utility template sent within it, and messages sent from the WhatsApp Business app on a Coexistence number stay free.
Which currency does Meta bill Turkish businesses in?
Meta publishes its WhatsApp Business Platform rate cards in sixteen currencies: USD, AED, ARS, AUD, BRL, CLP, COP, EUR, GBP, IDR, INR, MXN, MYR, PEN, SAR and SGD. The Turkish lira is not one of them, so a Turkish business is billed in one of those currencies, such as USD or EUR, and its costs should be read from that card rather than converted.
The rate change that matters most is recent. On April 1, 2026 Meta lowered Turkey's utility and authentication rates, which makes order updates and one time passcodes to +90 numbers a fraction of a cent each. Older budgets built before that date overstate those costs.
How do you connect a Turkish number and keep the app?
Through Meta's Embedded Signup, using the option for a number that is already in the WhatsApp Business app. A Tech Provider hosts it. The business signs in with Facebook, selects its Business Portfolio, enters the +90 number and confirms by scanning a QR code in the app. Synchronizing has to begin within 24 hours, or the flow must be run again.
Once connected, the phone keeps working and the same number gains Cloud API access at a fixed 20 messages per second. The connecting a number page goes through it screen by screen.
Common mistakes
- Looking for a Turkish lira rate card. Meta does not publish one; read the USD or EUR card your account is billed in.
- Using a budget built before April 1, 2026. Meta lowered Turkey's utility and authentication rates that day.
- Classifying promotions as utility to save money. Meta reviews template categories, and a marketing template is charged at the marketing rate.
EasyCoexistence connects a +90 number through Meta's own Embedded Signup in about two minutes, for a flat fee per connected number from US$ 9 a month. Meta bills its message rates directly to your own WhatsApp Business Account, never marked up.
