How do you add it to Claude?

In Claude, open settings and add a custom connector pointing at the EasyCoexistence MCP endpoint. Claude opens a sign in page, you authorise it, and the tools appear. There is no key to generate and nothing to paste into a config file, because the connector uses OAuth.

Claude Desktop uses the same connector, added from Settings under Connectors. Its config file only describes local servers that it launches itself, so a remote endpoint like this one is not written there.

Either way the server itself is remote. Nothing is installed, nothing runs in the background on your laptop, and closing the app does not break anything. A number stays connected whether or not Claude is open.

What can Claude do once it is connected?

Ask in plain language and Claude picks the tool. Which of my numbers is unhealthy. Send the booking confirmation to this customer. Create a template for order updates and tell me when Meta approves it. Point this number's webhook at my server.

The reading tools are the ones people use daily without noticing: listing numbers, checking a number's quality rating, messaging tier and connection state, and pulling the credentials when something else needs them. The sending tools cover free text inside the session window and approved templates outside it.

The pair that matters most for anyone serving clients is starting a connection and setting a webhook destination. Together they mean Claude can onboard a client's number and wire it into your system without anyone opening a dashboard.

Is the number safe from bans doing this?

Yes, because of what sits underneath rather than anything about Claude.

The WhatsApp MCP servers people usually find drive WhatsApp Web as a linked device. That breaks WhatsApp's terms, and Meta detects it by traffic behaviour, so the number gets banned regardless of which assistant was issuing the instructions. Using a careful assistant does not help, because the mechanism is what is prohibited.

This connector calls Meta's official Cloud API on a number onboarded through Meta's own Coexistence feature. There is no linked device, no session held anywhere, and nothing about it is against the terms. The usual limits apply instead: free text only within 24 hours of the customer's last message, approved templates outside it, and no group chats.

Frequently asked questions

Does this work in Claude Code and the Claude apps?

Yes. It is a remote MCP server over HTTP with OAuth, so anything that supports custom connectors can use it, including Claude Code, ChatGPT and Cursor.

Does Claude see my customers' conversations?

Only what you ask for. Incoming messages route from Meta to the webhook destination you nominate, and we never store conversation content.

Can Claude connect a new number by itself?

It can start the process. The connector returns a link that the business owner opens to authorise their own number through Meta's flow, which is a step only they can complete.

What happens if Claude tries to send outside the window?

The Cloud API rejects it and Claude sees the error, so it can fall back to an approved template. Nothing is silently dropped.
