Can Chilean businesses use WhatsApp Coexistence?

Yes. Meta's documentation for onboarding WhatsApp Business app users lists conditions about the number, the app and the partner, and none about the country. A +56 number qualifies once it is in use on the WhatsApp Business app, on version 2.24.17 or later, and is connected through Embedded Signup by a Tech Provider or Solution Partner.

The phone keeps working with its chats, and the number gains Cloud API access at a fixed 20 messages per second, the limit Meta applies to numbers shared with the app.

What does Meta charge per message in Chile?

Meta charges per delivered message, by category, at the rate of the recipient's market. Chile (+56) is a named market, and its marketing rate on the October 1, 2026 card is the highest of any Latin American entry, above even the Rest of Latin America region. Utility and authentication sit at USD 0.02, and Meta's monthly volume tiers can reduce those two for portfolios sending large volumes to Chile.

Which Chilean messages does Meta not charge for?

Anything sent from the WhatsApp Business app itself. Meta's documentation says app messages stay free after onboarding and only Cloud API sends are priced.

On the API, Meta does not charge for the first 1,000 service messages per business phone number each month, the non-template replies sent inside the 24 hour customer service window. And a conversation that starts from a Click to WhatsApp ad opens a free entry point window of up to 7 days, in which no category is charged apart from Meta Business Agent messages.

Given Chile's marketing rate, the free entry point window is the cheapest route to promotional messages there.

Does Meta offer billing in Chilean pesos?

Yes, as an option. CLP was enabled on April 1, 2026 as one of the currencies Meta added that year, and Meta publishes a CLP rate card covering every market, so messages to customers abroad also appear in pesos.

The billing currency is chosen when the Messaging account is created and is fixed after that, unless the business uses Meta's Currency Migration API. Meta's pricing page describes compulsory local billing only for Brazil and India; a Chilean business picks CLP or USD itself.

• Pricing a Chilean campaign with Rest of Latin America figures. Chile is a named market with its own rates.
