Periskope: You open WhatsApp settings on the phone, choose Link device and scan the QR code Periskope shows. The number is attached as a linked device, and their homepage advertises this as needing no Business API.

EasyCoexistence: Meta's Embedded Signup registers the number on the Cloud API with credentials Meta issues to your own WhatsApp Business Account. Coexistence keeps the app on the phone running on the same number.

What it costs each month

Both publish their prices, and they count different things.

Periskope: Starter is listed at $25 per user per month and Pro at $35, with the first phone included and every further phone billed as its own licence at the plan rate. Enterprise needs at least 50 users or phones.

EasyCoexistence: US$ 9 per connected number per month for one to five numbers, falling across six bands to US$ 1 as you add numbers. No user licences, and Meta bills messaging straight to your account without markup.

What the connection is exposed to

A linked-device session and an API registration are treated differently by WhatsApp.

Periskope: Access through a linked device runs outside Meta's Business Platform. WhatsApp's business terms govern automated and third-party use, and a number reached this way has no API-level standing with Meta.

EasyCoexistence: Every call goes to Meta's Cloud API. When a connection drops, we read Meta's own disconnection reason and alert you, including the 14-day app-activity rule that applies to Coexistence numbers.

Which one to choose

The question is what the number is worth and where it has to run. Periskope's model is built around linking existing numbers as devices, including groups, and it does not take API numbers at all.

For a number customers rely on, or a client's number an agency is responsible for, the official route is the one that stays inside Meta's rules. EasyCoexistence gives that route at a flat fee per number, keeps the WhatsApp Business app working, and delivers messages to your own system.
